I constantly get the message that 'Explorer has caused an invalid page fault in module ole32.dll at 0167:7ff33822'. Can you help me get rid of this nuisance?
This error message doesn't correspond with any specific known fault, so all we can do is recommend a generic fix. What may have happened is that a program you have installed has replaced ole32.dll with a version that is incompatible with Explorer. Therefore we would advise using the System File Checker to restore the correct version.
To start System File Checker, click on Start, Run, Type sfc and hit Enter. Because it's likely that other system files were changed at the same time as ole32.dll, we would advise running the 'Scan for altered files'. Click Start. From then on, using the System File Checker is fairly self explanatory. We would advise allowing system files to be restored only if the version on your hard drive has a lower version number than File Checker thinks it ought to have.
